MIKIMOTO "Praise to the Sea"
The Studio Marianne Guély imagined an ocean of paper for Mikimoto Paris.
Known worldwide for its pearls, the Japanese jewelry house Mikimoto has entrusted the Studio to design and manufacture the scenography for its boutique on Place Vendôme.
The ocean, the cradle of this precious and living pearl, emerges as an obvious inspiration. Marianne Guély wanted to capture that moment when light caresses the water, that shimmer, that suspended vibration.
A monumental screen and showcases are adorned with hundreds of cut and sculpted paper waves, evoking the ceaseless dance of water under the sun. Each element is hand-tinted to achieve a subtle aquatic depth.
